Tell Congress: use tax reform to get big money out of politics!
As Congress prepares to tackle tax reform, you might fear that only bad things will come of it. But think again: there’s a simple provision that could be included in the bill that would help get big money out of politics.
The idea, outlined by the Brennan Center for Justice, is to provide tax credits to anyone making small donations to candidates. This would make it easier to give, encourage more people to do so, and make rich donors less powerful in comparison.
This proposal has bipartisan support—why not make it happen? Let’s do our part: tell your reps in Congress to restore tax credits for small contributions!
Let’s get Congress to take big money out of politics.
